Ybyrá
69 landowners united by a shared commitment to environmental conservation and social development.

The Ybyrá Project is a unique initiative that enables landowners of various profiles and property sizes to participate in preserving the Amazon.
For the first time, smallholders in the region have joined together in a carbon credit cooperative to protect the forest and generate value through environmental conservation. The YBYRÁ REDD+ Project introduces a new model of regional development, collective, sustainable, and community-led.
In addition to facilitating access to the carbon market for these properties, the project works directly with five rural communities, promoting local development and income generation. One of its key initiatives is replacing the traditional practice of slash-and-burn farming with more productive and sustainable agricultural techniques that both increase household income and reduce wildfire risks.
Ybyrá is more than a carbon credit project, it is a transformative movement that connects forest, people, and future.
