The Angelim Project strengthens local communities as key agents in environmental regeneration
and climate change adaptation. The initiative combines traditional knowledge and innovation to protect the forest and mitigate the effects of global warming already observed in the region. With actions focused on ecological restoration, sustainable land management, and the reinforcement of community governance, the project promotes practices that preserve biodiversity and improve families’ quality of life. Environmental monitoring, awareness-building, and support for local entrepreneurship help shape a more resilient future—where conservation and development go hand in hand.

- Installation of eco-friendly roofing and tree seedlings around homes to improve thermal comfort for local communities

- Remote monitoring using CarbonEye technology developed by Carbonext
- Fire brigade training to equip people to safely and effectively contain fires, preventing their spread
- Creation of an alert group to report deforestation and degradation activities, enabling rapid response

- Tree planting and fencing of Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs) to promote natural regeneration and establish ecological corridors
- Environmental awareness activities to ensure community engagement
- Participatory monitoring to collect data on local wildlife occurrences
