"Brazil’s natural heritage is an important global asset, which is why we must take a leading role in the transition to a low-carbon and regenerative economy." — By Janaína Dallan for Um Só Planeta

The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the UN body responsible for assessing climate change, was clear: we must act against global warming now, or we will be on a fast track to climate disaster—with major coastal cities underwater, unprecedented heatwaves and droughts, and storms impacting populations and agricultural crops. The good news is that the IPCC also shows us that we already know the strategies and have the main tools to reverse this scenario, which is especially concerning for Brazil due to our Amazon Rainforest, rich in biodiversity and capable of generating carbon credits through its preservation.
