As legislative activity resumes in Brasília, one of the most anticipated bills to combat climate change returns to the agenda: Bill 528, now being considered alongside Bill 2,148/2015. It proposes the regulation of Brazil’s carbon credit market and brings high expectations from both public institutions and civil society. More than that, this bill—crafted through multi-stakeholder collaboration—has much to offer in developing the sector.
